Welcome, You are now at a site that is so great its even better than orange juice on a stick! Yes that's right folks, you are at JeremyJeffery.com! I started this page since I am moving away I wanted all of my friends to be able to still feel like they are a part of my life. I may start some sort of blog feature in the future, but you never know with me. I worked real hard on the design part of these pages, hope that's what keeps you coming back.

Manually changing all the file names in your MP3 download folder can be a long and tedious task. But leaving your music files with names such as "limp_BizKiT4~sig-other.mp3" makes organizing nearly impossible -- especially if you like to download entire albums. Today Roger has a free file that'll do all the renaming work for you.


MP3 Rename, like the name says, allows you to take whole groups of MP3s and change the file names or ID3 information so they're all consistent with your particular preference.


For example, I prefer to create file names such as "Limp Bizkit -- Significant Other -- 04 - Break Stuff.mp3."


This way you can easily sort your songs according to group, album, and track number -- and tracks are always in the proper order. Imagine having to do this a hundred times, once for each song. Not fun.


MP3 Rename is fairly easy to use:


Drag in a bunch of files.
Customize the information you want displayed.
Hit the change button.

Sort a bunch of MP3s into specific folders automatically. The program also lets you alter file names to fit the information provided in the ID3 tag (file information embedded in the MP3). You may want to check the ID3 information first. It can be hit or miss depending on who entered the tag.
